Our Services

Project Managing Planning Applications

The planning process can be expensive, but this doesn’t have to be the case. Careful project management and the use of the correct team for the right job can save you thousands. We have a good working relationship with a vast number of Local Councils and have an extensive network of specialist consultants, meaning we can deliver a comprehensive planning application, saving time and money. APD are proud of its success rate and this is reflected in our repeat customer history.

Land Appraisals

APD offer very competitive rates to undertake a full planning appraisal for your land or buildings. We will provide you with development advice, linked to national and local policy requirements, in a step-by-step format, enabling you to make an informed decision on the development potential of your site.

Strategic Promotion and Development Plan Monitoring

If you want to develop your land with minimum risk, the most surefooted way to gain planning permission is if your land is allocated within the Local Authority Development Plan. APD can advise and submit representations to emerging Local Plans to help you promote your site through this process and keep you up to date on the Local Plan process.

APD can offer advice on how to interpret local plan policy in regard to sustainability and address the best solution to ensure your development is policy compliant and commercially viable.

We can advise and offer a solution to:

  • Home Quality Mark
  • Renewable Energy
  • Local Plan Policy
  • London Standards
  • Technical Housing Standards
Discharge of Conditions

APD can provide a cost effect package to Discharge Conditions from a Planning Consent. Many people assume that once Planning Permission is granted, they do not need to do anything else – don’t get caught out! Discharging Conditions are a formal process that constitutes the Planning Consent.

Amending Planning Consents

Do you have Planning Permission that is no longer economically viable or suitable? APD can offer advice on the best solution to make your development deliverable. An application can be made under section 73 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 to vary or remove conditions associated with a planning permission.

Public Consultation

In an age of constant media connection, the public have got use to information being readily available. This is no different to planning and development. Informing local residents on what is happening in their area and letting them feed into the design process is a successful way of gaining local community support for a development scheme. APD can offer in-house public consultations - from leaflet drops to public exhibitions and community engagement reports.

Permitted Development

Unsure what the law is for those outbuildings or barn conversion? Let APD provide you with clear guidance as to what constitutes Permitted Development.

Equestrian Development

Business or Pleasure? If you need to check on whether your equestrian plans require planning, APD can advise. Do not assume its Permitted Development, call us to check first!

Agricultural Development

Do you know that some agricultural buildings do not require a formal planning application to be converted into a home? If you would like advice on any agricultural development, please contact us.

Conservation Area and Listed Building Advice

APD has offered successful advice to numerous clients on the complex subjects of Conservation Area Consents, Article 4 Directions and Listed Building Consent.

Enforcement Advice and Dispute Resolution

APD provide advice to a number of clients and liaise with the Council to ensure a positive solution is achieved for all parties.

Representations and Objections

Do you want to comment on or object to a development within your area but don’t know how to go about it? Let APD either guide you through the process or submit representations on your behalf.
